The compendium used the information from the 2000 Edition and provided sample electronic forms that mirrored what the PMBOK® Guide said should be documented. It acts as a road map of the process and shows where the user is at any point in the process, and well as the forms that precede that position and those that follow it. The hard copies of the forms may be taken and reproduced directly from the book, or from the accompanying CD which contains customizable forms for use in any organization. In addition to the road map, a robust index provides quick access to the forms in the book and CD.
The author (Cynthia Snyder Stackpole) is uniquely qualified to pull together this book not only because of her experience as a consultant, but mainly for the reason that she acted as project manager of the PMI selected team that created the PMBOK® Guide 4th Ed.
